Description
Nestled high on the Cote de Beaune, the village of Volnay is situated between Meursault and Pommard.
The grapes are hand harvested followerd by traditional vinification in stainless steel. It is further aged for 15 months in oak barrels, 30% of which are new.
This is an elegant wine dominated by red fruit like red currants, red cherries and raspberries with hints of violets. The palate is delicate with soft round tannins and great length on the finish. This wine has already done some time in the bottle but will still age and develope for a further 5years.
