Description
A big rich full bodied Chardonnay with flavours of citrus fruit, marzipan and white blossoms. The finish is lengthy yet fresh.
The grapes are sourced from “La Grande Montagne” climat which is located at the top of the hill near the limestone quarries of Chassagne Montrachet.
The grapes are pressed immediately with traditional vinification in barrels half of which are new oak. The wine continues for a further 15 months with regular stirring to gain complexity and depth which certainly shows on the complex bouquet of citrus fruit, marzipan and white blossom. The palate is equally complex and interesting with a lengthy yet fresh finish.
